I know, I’m such a sucker for 2 or 3 colour jobs. But this contrasting colour palette makes such a bold statement. I think I should learn to take a few more risks with colour. Noted.

Australian InFront is an online design community that often has comps to keep us designers occupied in our spare time! Above was my entry for last year’s Visual Reponse: Woman. This movie quote was taken from a childhood favourite of mine - So I Married an Axe Murderer.
Some of you know that I have dusted off the ol’ paintrbushes and finally put them to canvas over these past holidays, and quite frankly, I have not been able to stop. After finishing Marilyn, I’ve decided to complete a suite of ‘Warhol Women’. Not many people know that Andy Warhol created Marlyn Monroe’s pictures in 1962, soon after she commit suicide. People believe Warhol did this to prove that Marilyn was a brand – famous in life, but in death she had become a commercial franchise.
I am constantly trawling through my reject logos (yes, I keep them!) and was happy to find that I am not the only one. Stumbling across Studio MPLS’ process on their Crown Maple project, makes me wonder just how many clients don’t see this - the time, effort and love put in to executing multiple designs in order to find ‘the one’.
